Ancient Egyptians grew crops such as wheat, barely, vegetables, figs, melons, pomegrantes and vines. The Egyptian's most valuable crop grown was grain. They grew their crops along side the Nile River on the rich, black soil. There were 2 seasons for farming which were the growing season and the harvest season. Ancient Egyptians used winnowing scoops, hoes, rakes, flint-bladed sickles and ploughs. |
